The AI Clinic™

Building the capacity to lead when the work keeps changing.

Your job is not disappearing. Parts of it are. Some of what you do every week is being taken over by the technology, some of it is being made stronger by it, and some of it cannot be touched by any machine. Knowing which is which is the whole game, and the people who play it well are not the ones who know the most tools. They are the ones who can still think. This program examines how you think before it teaches you what to do.

The Clinic at a glance

Is this the right Clinic for you?

Which parts of your work the technology takes over, which it makes stronger, and which are yours alone, and what to do about each.

Who it is for

Experienced professionals and managers, often in their fifties and sixties, whose roles are being reshaped by technology and who would rather decide what comes next than have it decided for them. It serves people staying in their roles, people looking for their next role, and people changing course.

The specialist examination

The Thinking Exam™, which measures how you think across five disciplines, together with the Exposure Reading of your actual working week and the Learning Profile, which shapes how you practice.

Also built in: a starting point for anyone new to the tools, including what your employer allows; work on confidence and professional identity; and career positioning to keep your standing, whether you stay or move.

The program, in the method

Six modules, one for each step.

Examine — The Thinking Exam™. How you think, measured across five disciplines; your real week, sorted; and how you learn best.
Diagnose — Your Work, Diagnosed. Which way of thinking is holding you back, which parts of your work are exposed, and what to address first.
Prescribe — The Reskilling Prescription. What to reskill, what to hand off on purpose, and what to protect and make visible, in an order you can follow.
Treat — Thinking With the Machine. Your own tasks, worked with the technology in the room, until keeping your judgment engaged is a habit.
Follow Up — The Week, Redone. One ordinary week on the prescription, then both readings again, so you can see what moved.
Maintain — Leading on a Different Plane. The Regimen, and a way to size up the next tool in an afternoon.
By the end, you will be able to
Sort your own week, task by task, into what the technology takes over, what it makes stronger, and what is yours alone.
Name the way of thinking that is holding you back, and strengthen it on real work.
Work with the technology in four moves (specify, decide, do, and check) and catch a confident wrong answer.
Decide what to reskill, what to hand off on purpose, and what to protect and make visible.
Explain the value of your experience to a manager, an employer, or a client.
Size up any new tool in an afternoon, so that you are never waiting to be told.
The outcome

What you leave with, and what makes it different.

What you leave with
Your Thinking Exam™ profile and your Exposure Map, each taken before and after, so you can see what changed.
A written diagnosis and a Reskilling Prescription with thirty-day goals.
A working method for using the technology on your own tasks, written as your own checklist.
A two-minute account of what changed, ready for your manager, an interviewer, or a client.
Career positioning: how to show that your skills are current, on a résumé, on LinkedIn, and in an interview, whether you stay in your role or move to a comparable one.
The Regimen, and the full program document in your vault, to keep.
What makes it different
It is not a tool course. Tools change every few months; the thinking that decides whether a tool helps or hurts you does not.
It examines your own week, task by task, not a job title or a list of occupations.
It treats experience as the advantage. The person who knows a field well is the person who can catch the machine's fluent mistakes, and the program trains exactly that.
It is built for the mid-career professional, including the confidence and career questions that tool courses leave out.
How it runs
Sessions. Seven 90-minute sessions over eight to ten weeks. The Treat module takes two sessions. Each session is 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of practice.
Delivery. One-on-one, in a small group of four to six, or for a team inside your organization.
Options. The full Clinic, or one module at a time.
Included. The specialist examination, every module with practice, the self-paced course, and the full program document in your vault.
Coaching. Available around the program, one-on-one or in a group.

Grounded in Eloundou and colleagues (2023) on which tasks the technology affects; Dell'Acqua and colleagues (2023), the "jagged frontier" field experiment; Knowles on adult learning; Zimmerman on self-regulated learning.
